I'm a newbie.

I'm using TradeStation for its strategy testing capability.

Do you have any thoughts on TradeStation, or other platforms that you would recommend instead?

Hello one-eman,

There are other trading platforms that you can use for testing capabilities.

You could try: MetaTrader 4 or even Visual Trader.

I cannot talk much about VT but MT4 is very useful and friendly. You can download it for free from:

There are so many forex testing software option available in the market but I would suggest you to test quickly and cheaply as possible. You do not need fancy monthly subscription or software costing thousands of dollars. Remember you can use excel for the purpose or another inexpensive forex testing software. Make sure you get historical data free.
